Abby Latif is a rockstar. But she is not in the music nor entertainment scene. Sometimes she calls herself as a magician. But she does not perform magic in any of the shows in Las Vegas. With an International Business degree and an Accounting diploma, a flair for writing and a sappy romantic heart of a poet, Abby Latif has been trained in one of the biggest telecommunications company in Malaysia (Maxis Communications) under the Corporate Events & Sponsorship department, been given the opportunity to work close to one of her role models, former Malaysian Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad at his Perdana Leadership Foundation as a Publications & Communication Officer, been leading one of the first Social Responsible Investment analysts team in Southeast Asia when she was in OWW Consulting Firm, been managing SDI Media's first in house dubbing studio in Malaysia and now, running WOMEN:girls , a not-for-profit organisation as the Programme Director. She is also an alumni of the US State Department International Visitor Leadership Programme. But it wasn't all greatness in her portfolio. She took 2 years off from everything to find herself. And in the midst of that, she survived with no stable income as a struggling writer for two years in 2010 and 2011. She picked up pace and became a performance poet and traveled from Kuala Lumpur to Bali and Jakarta to perform with her then ensemble, 'Seronok'. Before performing, her poems have been exhibited in several exhibitions at KLUE Urbanscapes 2009, KL Design Week 2009 and KL Design Week 2010.
